University Dental Hospital of Manchester

Situated on the Manchester University Campus, we are one of the key specialist dental hospitals in the UK. Manchester Royal Infirmary

Founded in 1752 with just 12 beds, we’ve grown to become a large teaching hospital for Manchester University’s Medical School and a specialist regional centre for kidney and pancreas transplants, haematology and sickle cell disease. Specialising in cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology, our Heart Centre is a major provider of cardiac services in the North West. Around 145,000 patients visit our Accident and Emergency Department each year. Our many medical breakthroughs include being first in the UK to carry out urology surgery using a handheld robotic device and fully 3D system.

Manchester Royal Eye Hospital

Providing care to the City of Manchester for over 200 years and now based in a new Eye Hospital, we provide an extensive range of eye services for both adults and children. Our facilities include the Emergency Eye Department, Ophthalmic Imaging, Ultrasound Unit, Electrodiagnosis, Laser Unit, Optometry, Orthoptics, the state-of-the-art Manchester Eye Bank and Ocular Prosthetics. Our consultants are assisted by a superb after-care team that prides itself on the delivery of the very best in patient care.

Trafford Hospitals

Through the Trafford General Hospital and Altrincham Hospital, we provide a wide range of services in Davyhulme and Altrincham. Trafford General Hospital is a district general hospital serving a population of over 200,000 in the borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester. Altrincham Hospital is a purpose-built facility providing a high quality, modern, user-friendly environment for patients and staff and a range of general and specialist outpatient and diagnostic services.

Located in West Didsbury, South Manchester, we provide specialist care to patients requiring diagnostic treatment, day surgery and community services. We currently have approximately 350 full time staff and see around 155,000 patients in our clinics and departments every year. We have one theatre and a large Outpatients Department. Our main specialisms include Dermatology, Urology, Audiology, ENT and Therapies.

Community Health Services

We’re proud to offer preventative and holistic care to people in and amongst our communities, from health promotion to supporting patients in managing long-term conditions. Skilled and dedicated individuals carry out these roles with pride and compassion. We work closely with GPs, local authorities, voluntary organisations and other healthcare providers.

Operating in venues including GP practices, nursing homes, schools and patients’ homes, our specialisms range from our asthma service, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, through to health visiting, and speech and language therapy. We can offer support after a fall, or help to increase exercise, eat healthily, quit smoking, and meet wider health and social needs.
